Is there a song or artist or album that was most influential to you?

It wasn’t so much a particular song or album, more the sound of trance in general that I loved!

Are there particular artists or sounds that you see as the future of EDM?

Tritonal are well on their way to the top, and are currently selling out all their shows on the massive Metamorphic Tour in the US! Behind them we have such a talented crop of young talent who will definitely follow in their steps!

What made you want to start Enhanced?

I wanted to release the music I loved. I was a young ‘up n coming’ producer myself and I was getting sent so much music by my producer friends, so I just decided it was the right time to start a label to release it on. Best decision I ever made!

Explain Enhanced’s sound in 3 words.

Quality, Modern, Melodic

If you could pick an artist to produce a song on your label from any decade, who would it be?One?!

Oooh that’s tough. Armin van Buuren – the person I owe most to for my early influence and the support he has given the label since the start. 

What did you look for when choosing tracks for “Digitally Enhanced”?

We get all our artists to submit music and then work with them on the tracks for the album. Nearly every track is exclusive and unreleased, so that’s the first and most obvious criteria, then it needs to fit our current sound and the overall flow of the music on the compilation. I try to involve as many of our artists as possible when putting the mixes together!

Has Digitally Enhanced’s sound changed over the years? If so, how?

Yes, it’s always moved forward - to stand still and not evolve would take you nowhere, so whilst retaining our melodic edge, we’ve moved forward and things have a little more of a clubby edge than before. 

Any upcoming tour dates?

My next shows are London for Ministry Of Sound – an Enhanced tour night with Tritonal, Super8 & Tab, Estiva, Juventa and myself, and I’m heading back to Leeds for Digital Society. I’ve decided to be more selective over dates so I can focus on our label and artists.
