Future Classics -
26 August 2010, at 00:47
Got an idea for the topic while listening to Menno's classics episode. I thought it would be interesting to discuss, which tracks of recent years do you see becoming a classics in future? I find it being pretty hard to choose, since overall nowadays quality of trance is down compared to what we consider classics from the past, and even producers often resort to remixing oldschool tunes rather than coming up with something new and original, so let's see what TP thinks. Who knows, maybe in future we can look back and see how right, or wrong we were  :D

So my first nomination would be this:

Simply an amazing track, which I find myself listening to over and over again. And I for sure know that when 5 or more years will pass, I will still remember it. Wish there was more proper trance tracks like this one around.

So, feel free to offer your track suggestions, define what a classic is to you, and discuss tracks themselves.  :)

Aw, I had a similiar idea for a topic, but I wasn't fast enough!    :O   (sound familiar?)

Anyway, here is my choice for a future Classic.   According to my Music Library, I have listened to this track over 177 times.  That's a lot considering that it was only released Oct 26th, 2009.

This Track is like a Fine Wine, or a Fine Woman, they both get better with Age, (and maybe with a little Plastic Surgery.)    ;)

RAM  -   RAMsterdam  (Jorn van Deynhoven remix)

I think everything released by Mat Zo this year would qualify, but if i had to pick one it would be

In 20 or so years, when Anjunabeats reaches its 200th release and releases "Anjunabeats200", i imagine this one being on one of the CDs, so unique, so fresh, so hypnotic, so uplifting  :hp:

Another great idea for a topic! The year of 2010 is owning with cool topics! :D

In my opinion, this could be a future classic:

Was a bit overplayed in 2009, but I never get tired of it :<3:

And don't forget that "unreleased" track of Sander, called Season:

Has that old school touch in it, which is because it was made earlier but came to life in 2010 :D

If i had to go with Simon Patterson's tracks i'd shoot with Bulldozer, Tiesto among the other big names was hammering it like nuts in his Elements Of Life tour!
