In other words, what was the period that you wish you could relive again?

2004-2005 definitely, and always stay in these years. Andy Moor, Gabriel & Dresden, Above & Beyond, Funabashi, Markus Schulz, Joonas Hahmo, Mike Koglin..

I'd say 2003-04, I think that was the period where great tunes came out, and Trance became more modern, but not as modern as today. You could still go to big events (Rip Sensation) and the scene was still quite underground. And there would still be Tiesto producing amazing tracks. :)

For me it would be between 99-2004. Back when there were still many great labels producing absolutely banging tunes and Anjunabeats was awesome. This is still the music i listen to mostly and you hear a lot of it in my sets still. Such great music, clubs and events. ( global gathering, coloursfest, sensation white) were just amazing. I really adored this time and It holds my best memories.

2004
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.

2005 in London as that's when I totally fell for trance. The sound back then was very particular and breaking new ground. This was before the explosion of digital media on the scene so we were mainly using vinyl at the time and it was a lot more exclusive. The people were different too and more honest about the music. I wouldn't necessarily want to revert but I'd like to "revisit" for a while and maybe play a few sets around my old haunts in London :)

For me the fondest memories go towards 2004-2005 period, so I would probably lean mostly towards that. Although I definitely would not mind experiencing earlier ones as well, there have been many that would be simply amazing to experience live, such as 2000-2003, and the 90's of course.

That being said though, it is really hard to expect that music always stays same and never changes no matter what. Even in this day, there is plenty of good stuff around, it just takes some dedication to search for it. Never forgetting the classics, and the best of times that went by, but also looking forward, is the best way to go around things in my opinion
