Like you said, in Holland it hasn't. I live in a different country and i am speaking from experience. Every second person apparently "listens to trance" if you ask them what their favorite genre is nowadays. It pisses me off :undecided:

Ye I can imagine, especially because many of those probably don't even listen to trance, but they think they do, like W&W, Orjan Nilsen and some stuff of Armin, like This Is What It Feels Like urrgghh :(

I did warn you about Orjan ;)

One of the biggest reasons I don't listen to trance is because there are not many good parties around here. I think the scene is going through a huge identity crisis, I really like the stuff coming out on Platypus recordings and Bonzai records etc. The sound is just stale for me at the moment and even the older stuff I don't enjoy that much now.

At the moment I much prefer Drum and Bass and Techno but I do go through cycles with them too. Lot's of great music out there so don't limit yourself to one sound.

Haha yup. Even tho I still really liked his tracks at that time, it was the moment he started changing. Little by little, almost without noticing ;)

Trance can't stay the same forever like this is 1997 - 2003 style this is why people get sick of listening to it and the genre slowly dies, like Hard Trance back in 2003 but that died quick. Hence It's why i'm trying to make a newer sounding Trance style, Trance + Electro + Dubstep ! = TranceStep ! :O I coped allot of hate from my facebook wall die hard Trance fans say O no how dare you involve Dubstep into trance , wah wah wah :*( I still love Trance , Uplifting Trance but you have to move forward otherwise your still stuck in 1997 when it's 2013 atm. Have a listen to what i'm trying to get at.

Most of my favourite artists didn't change style, they just stopped producing... (Kai Tracid, Vincent De Moor, Vibrasphere (although they were a group/couple(couple doesn't feel like the right word...) that separated and came back together at least once but are currently not working together/at all))

Kai Tracid hasn't quit he's bringing back Tracid Traxx and also is collaborating with Mike Push and Derb as well. https://www.facebook.com/kaitracid.official

As much I love the euro/euphoric trance sound I don't think it will come back anytime soon. It may takes years for the genre to recover from the slump it's being going through.
