Trance Podium's Top 50 Trance Tracks Of All Time Announced -
5 December 2010, at 23:18
Well the list starts here, I will be spoon feeding it to you five to ten tracks at a time :) The list could probably be structured a lot better but I did not really get enough votes (Although nearly everyone on here that I asked to voted I could have done with maybe another 20 votes) I did have over 40 votes I think though and it was worth it.

So without wasting any more time the first five to be announced are as follows:

50 :- Menno De Jong Ft ReLocate -Spirit (Paul Miller 2008 ReWork)

This song does just have that classic feel and Paul Millers re-work on it was sublime, a nice way to start off our top 50 and it is always nice to see a Menno De Jong song on any list :)

49 :- Breakfast - Air Guitar (Original Mix)

This song is only a year old so it could be a bit early to see it on a top 50 trance tracks of all time list, however, it is a really good song and although I think Remember is a better track and you can see why it was so popular last year.

48 :- Armin van Buuren - Sail

The first (And maybe last?) Armin Van Buuren song in the top 50, I love the way this song just pumps along and the piano at 3 minutes is wonderful! :)

47 :- Armin van Buuren - Shivers (Rising Star Remix)

Haha or not, Armin shows his face for the second time in this top 50, he played this the first time I saw him live, it was amazing and although I don't really love the song anymore after hearing it a fair number of times it is still a top song :)

46 :- Saltwater- The Legacy (Alphazone mix)

This was a new track for me :O Kind of, I knew the track but not the name, which makes this worth doing. :)

45 :- Gaia - 4 Elements

AVB shows is head again and once again this song back from the early 00's and it has stood the test of time so far!

Amazing start of top 50, although I don't think Air Guitar belongs here because it's (in my opinion) still a new track. I'm glad my votes didn't end in the last 5 tracks :)

Looking forward to see the next 5 tracks :)

On we go the next few tracks also got the same number of votes as the ones above:

44:-Ferry Corsten - Galaxia

My old best friend would love to see this in the top 50 so he would have been very happy if I still had contact with him, however as I don't he will never know that this got here, Ferry Corsten's first track to get into the top 50.  :<3:

43 :- Phynn - Lucid

If I remember correctly though I was still young this was doing the rounds long before it was actually released by Phynn, in fact a lot of people think its a Tiesto track for some reason! <<

42 :- Armin van Buuren - Blue Fear

As you can tell AVB turned up on a lot of people list and nearly always at the top. Blue Fear sits in 42nd place.

41 :- OceanLab - On A Good Day (Above & Beyond Club Mix)

Well I know this wont be popular with some and I can see why as it has been played, played and played and its just a little bit cheesy, however this song seems to be sticking around and I would not be surprised if people really considered it a classic in a few years time. Only the club mix got voted for.

40 :- Major League - Wonder

Tiesto and Armin teamed up to bring us Wonder and it sits in 40th of the top 50.

39 :- Lost Witness Vs Sassot - Whatever (Aly & Fila Remix)

The final song in the top 50 to have only got one vote which means every song here after got voted for by at least more than one person.

And on we go :)

38 :- John O'Callaghan & Bryan Kearney - Exactly

J'OC & Kearney teamed up to bring us this uplifter in 2006, I love GO's remix but this is still good. Only the original got voted for.

37 :- Markus Schulz feat Dauby - Perfect (Original mix) & (Agnelli & Nelson Remix)

Both versions got voted for but it was the Agnelli & Nelson remix that got the most points.

36 :- Markus Schulz Ft. Carrie Skipper - Time Goes By (Super8 Deep Mix)

Schulz shows up two songs in a row (Strange how that happens really but nothing can be done about it.) This song had two votes and both went towards the Deep Mix from Super 8, I love the intro.

35 :- Ayla – Ayla

AH I love this song, surprised it only came up in two peoples votes as it deserves its place in the top 50 I think. :)

That ends the ten pointers

34 :- Arty - Rush (Original Mix)

Was this song only released this year? I could be totally wrong mind.

33 :- Above and Beyond pres. Tranquility Base - Surrender

This song is pure energy and really does just make you want to move! :)

32 :- Dj Tiesto - Sparkles

Sparkles is the first Tiesto solo track to show up in the top 50. It was a late comer in votes and very nearly did not get into the top 50.

31 :- Bedrock - Heaven scent (original mix) & (Greg Downy Remix)

Both mixes got an equal number of votes the breakdown on the one I have posted at just after 3 minutes is sublime.

30 :- Ferry Corsten feat Betsie Larkin - Made Of Love

Well I must say out of all the newer tracks that were voted into the top 50, this track is the one that I really think yeah I am glad its here, I loved it when I first heard it and I do hope it sticks around for a few years to come :)

One of my picks made it in, Surrender  :D And yeah, Ayla is great, surprised I forgot to vote for it

Interesting top 50 so far. Some tracks really feel out of place though.

Yeah I agree should cause some debate, what ones really seem out of place so far? Wait till you see some of the ones that got into the top 20 :P

Weeee my vote for Spirit made it in the top 50! :D Only at 50, but still more than I expected :D
I'm probably the only one that voted for it, had it on the top of my list

Tiësto - Sparkles at 32 is also a nice one :D

Sounds scary. Can't wait to see it :D

I guess I am not used to seeing recent tracks on the list. But it's top 50 of all time, and not top 50 classics, so it's ok :D

And I thought that of Oceanlab, something like Clear Blue Water or Satellite would make it and not On a Good Day. I'll hope for more Tranquility Base myself though :D

You will have to wait and see what comes up. :) I am thinking of doing this in the next couple of years again and merging the new list with the one from this year and see how it changes things :)

The thing with on a good day is it sticks in peoples heads and although I would not have it in my top ten it still produced some pretty magical moments this year for me:

This really looks awesome!. It's such a great combination already of trance-classics which really defined the path of trance the last 10 years. The newer tracks really kick ass and still show good producing skills and musical insight are not inherent to improved equipment. I've got great equipment..but from my point of view my productions don't come close to what you get to see here. And I think we all agree here that having a track label signed and supported by dj's really helps a lot;).

@ Shadowman. Satellite is such a sweet track :D
