Last season was okay for not getting through the groups because Dortmunt/RM really were too strong (not just for Ajax for pretty much everyone), the season before that was the Lyon match-fixing thing and the 2 incorrectly disallowed goals against RM on matchday 6, or was that the season before that? Either way Balotelli should of got straight red for his tackle on Blind, made no attempt to win the ball, it was just assault, but Ajax really should of done better with some of the chances they had (they deserved to go through last night, they really did, especially with the whole last min pen. vs. Milan earlier on this season).
Balotelli would be a great player if he wasn't such a diver/playactor, I don't like him but he does have so much ability he really could be one of the best (he is close to being one of the best already...)
I agree with everything you said, but you forgot about another incorrect disallowed goal against Lyon Last season was too tough indeed, I know, but I don't remember anymore against who (I think it was away against ManCity), but we got fucked as well. Ok, 3rd in a group with the champions of Spain, Germany and England is something to be proud of, but especially that away match against Dortmund, we shouldn't have lost. We were better.
Put those results against ManCity, the away victory against ManUnited in the Europe League, plus the way we played this year in which we were the better side 5 out of 6 games, I know we have much potential, but it needs to come out in results one day. Problem is we have to start all over each season again
About Valotelli, even if he has much potential, which he has, I agree, a player who doesn't even WANT to play is not a great player in my opinion.
