General Patton could have marched right into Berlin Germany with his tanks, but he was stopped by Bradley.

Hitler lost the war in Russia, just like Napoleon did. It's simply too big and the winters are too cold to be able to conquer. This might be simply said, but fact is that they both started losing there.
