Ruining sound quality for bigger proffits -

An interesting video showing how the labels are distorting the recorded sounds to make them seem louder, thus decreasing the sound quality.

That's an interesting find Hypnotic. Because I don't own any vinyls I wouldn't know the difference.

Hmm. Now, I know why I was told that if I pull the faders down, I should be able to make the record sound louder. Some people think that making the sound louder in the recording will make it sound louder in the track. But I eventually experienced that softening tracks could actually help make the mixdown sound louder and clearer, by not making the recording very loud in the first place.
