Steve Agnello fooling his audience -

Here's a vid of Steve Agnello during his set at Dance Valley last Saturday. You can see how he's playing a pre-recorded mix...

Yes, I watched it a couple of days ago on YouTube before they removed it (probably on a request by his management).

Pathetic move from Steve Angello, especially because at first he was denying all this saying that he would never in his life do that, but after coming with a press release that he needed to pre-record it because of the lightshows and smokes on the stage so everything had to be well planned.

OMG, I can not believe this :O

Does anyone know a similiar situation with Trance DJ's?

PS: it's Steve Angello

There are no excuses for this. A good DJ knows how to do this stuff all together.

If you can call it trance, but Josh Gabriel.

Saw him playing a 2-hour pre-recorded set from his iPhone. When I went to him to ask him about it, he said that the battery of his laptop was empty and that one was on it's way from the airport to the venue. That is a 30 min. ride and 1.5 hrs later it still wasn't there. He could blame it on the battery, but (besides that he should have a spare battery) being a laptop DJ already sucks. Thought it was a good way to punish him for being a laptop DJ. OMG, how he made a fool of himself. Completely lost respect for him too.

Josh Gabriel doing…..nothing

Yeah I saw that vid of Steve Angello, really kind of sad. Wow Josh Gabriel doesn't look very happy in that pic with you. I guess I would be pretty pissed if that happened to me too.

It's the risk of being a laptop DJ...

If your laptp breaks down it's ALWAYS your own fault.

This is shameful. He should pay all who attended their money back.

+1 Allso, if your gonna play a prerecorded set the least you can do is dance and put on some kind of show, not just walking around doing nothing dressed like a bum! I hope shit like this would hurt him in stuff like the dj mag 100, but im shure it wont...

Maybe he should shift his focus to the sweish reality series "Svenska Hollywoodfruar" (swedish hollywood wifes) were he appers with hisgirlfriend/wife

I saw the video.

The worst part about it is, instead of interacting with the crowd, he's just standing there, punishing his lungs with a blank expression on his face.....

BTW I use a turntable program on my laptop too, but I always make sure my laptop is ready to go with no glitches beforehand.

Tiesto, Armin and others only plan a few records of the sets they play, in particular, they plan the starting record and the record before a special event is triggered. The songs between those two are just chosen on the spot depending on the circumstances.
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.

Actually, the last time I saw Armin I was able to predict the first 5 and the last 3 tracks along with the order they were played in, as well as around 60% of all the tracks he played that night.

Not too hard if you just take a look at the tracklists of his last 3-5 live sets.

He was still playing them live though, unlike this joke of a DJ.
There might be a reason he did this, but still, those people paid to see him DJ, not push the play button and act like a rock star.

Regardless of Angello's attempted explanation, this is not right. His crowd interaction absolutely SUCKS. Sorry Steve, but you will never be up there with the big boys.

Yeah its the same with Tiesto and Markus Schulz, but i guess its normal, having so many gigs per week.
But dear God, i actually felt embarassed when i saw this, and him looking so bored :undecided: . There is nothing worse a dj can do to lose the respect of the fans.

Lol @ 9:24!

I wondered if anyone in the crowd noticed though... do you think you'd be able to tell if you weren't up in the front? Not being a DJ I'd doubt I'd be able to tell.

That would piss me off even more, to read it afterwards. But I think you can tell there's no interaction. That would take a big part of the joy away already and I'd probably leave anyway.
