Test your hearing -
5 March 2009, at 17:29
On the link bellow there's  a list of tones that go from 8,000Hz all the way up to 22,000Hz. It’s fairly common for people who are over 25 years of age to not be able to hear above 15Hz, so this will help you find out where your high frequency hearing cuts off.

Musicians have a much higher risk of hearing loss that most people do, and many of us don’t really wear proper hearing protection. Even just listening to an ipod for an extended period of time can permanently damage your hearing. We also gradually lose our high-frequency hearing as we age.

I can hear all of them. Not sure if it's because I took the test with headphones. 21kHz and 22kHz were very weak though.

I can "hear" them all, however, 19-22 I can only hear turn on and off, I can tell [feel?] the change but I cant hear it playing, interesting

*had to listen to music immediately after to soothe my ears tho, lol*

Did anybody listen to all of them? Or did you all start from the last one?

Cz I started with 8 kHz and was shocked I couldn't hear the 14 kHz anymore :O
But then I found out I actually could hear the 15 kHz :O
So I listened to all of them and it seemed I couldn't hear 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22, but I did hear 15, 17, 19 and 21 :D

Something wrong with the sounds maybe?

lol, that's really odd :)

As I said, I heard all of them on my headphones. Haven't tried on speakers.

19 kHz for me.

I guess mom was right about full blast music.

According to the ZUNE manual, it only takes 15 minutes of exposure to loud music to permanately damage your hearing.
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.

20kHz for me and my wife.  Not to bad for us being a few months away from 30.  :D

Wearing that hearing protection helped over the years.
