Matrixx, the successful event organizer and club in Nijmegen, has stopped the rent of the club after 13 years. Matrixx will concentrate even more on festivals and events in Holland and abroad.

The strongest concepts of Club Matrixx will be continued at new places in Holland and abroad, from 1st of January on. The concept Dreamfields will be expanded globally. The first steps for this have been made with the introduction of Dreamfields Bali (Indonesia) on the 16th of August 2014. The present festivals and events Emporium, Dreamfields, XXlerator Outdoor, Matrixx at the Park and the new "Matrixx Live aan de Kade" will be continued and expanded in the following years.

For the Matrixx as an organisation, this means a new step with a lot of new challenges and growth opportunities.

Over the years, the Matrixx has regularly welcomed the world's biggest DJ's like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Afrojack and Steve Aoki. Matrixx has been chosen "Most Popular Club of Holland" several times and has been in the DJ Mag Top 100 of Best Clubs in the world for some years now.

Matrixx will say goodbye to the building with special "Closing Parties" in November and December.

Shame another great club is closing. I've never been there, cz it's quite far away from me, but they've had some really awesome parties. Armin van Buuren has opened the club in 2001.

I can understand it, less people are going to clubs and more people are going to big festivals. It must be hard to survive. Club nights are getting rare and big outdoor festivals or festivals in event halls are taking over. I can't help it, but I prefer the smaller parties in clubs. Besides that it's more intimate and better atmosphere, the sound and lightning is usually better too. It's why I love Amsterdam Dance Event so much.
