UK again frustrating the Euro-negotiations? -

They don't want to take part of the Euro, but they can still use veto's against decisions to rescue it? And they use it!

Like Sarkozy said a few weeks ago: "Cameron missed his chance to shut the fuck up!"

Ha! You need us more than we need you...... I was all for joining the Euro a few years back, I am glad we did not though having watched what has happened right across the continent.

I'm sick to death of the mealy-mouthed casuistry to which we're subjected by career politicians. I want to hear three or four straightforward reasons as to why British membership of the EU is a good thing. Access to the free market is a red herring, since Norway and Switzerland enjoy that. Common Foreign and Security Policy is a pile of shit, because sometimes we co-ordinate our action and other times we don't. You know, exactly as we would do anyway on an intergovernmental basis. CAP benefits our farmers on an individual basis, but given the disparity in the size of the agricultural sectors of Britain and particularly France, we'd do better to go without, save all the money we send to Brussels, then give it directly to our our farmers.

The EU is one of the few political arguments I lose my concentration in so I am not going to get too involved as I don't know enough compared to other subjects....

I don't think so. We don't need you. You need us. You need the export to the rest of the EU.

Also, I'm glad we have the Euro. Still now. Without it, we would be nothing. Why taking something with another currency and pay for the currency-exchange, when you don't have to? The Euro has made many things easier. Yes, we are now in an economical recession. Wow, our economy decreases with 0,5 percent the next year. But our economy has increased many percents the past 10 years.

How is your economy? How much depts do you have? How much shortage you will have again this year and how high is your unemployment? Holland and Luxembourg have the best economy of the whole EU. Hmmm, not coincidently, 2 countries that have the Euro...

But that wasn't what my statement is about. You don't want the Euro, then don't put your nose in it and shut the fuck up! :p
If you don't need us, then why worry? :p

I think most people in the UK quite agree and would rather we stayed out of anything to do with Europe. However, I don't I think Cameron made the wrong choice sadly it will win him fans here which will make things even worse as the sooner he is out the better :(

We still export to you now so that makes little difference really, I agree though this country is totally backward. We could learn a lot from Germany and Holland after spending time in both countries.

By the way, our economy rose for years as well and we used to get and still do get a lot more euro for our £.

Stuff global debt it is a load of rubbish and just numbers on a screen. It's quite stupid how America can be Trillions in debt.

Of course though when you guys want us to bail out more of you're countries just as we did with Greece and Ireland you will expect us to help out......

Not so much anymore. How much € do you get for a £? 1.30 or something? Used to be a lot more. The UK is cheap for us now :p

Yeah sorry I did not write that as clearly as I meant, we used to and only now has it got less but it's more on an even now rather than just cheep.

One of the reasons why I wanted us to join the euro was so that I did not have to bother with changing currency. To be honest, I think that's all some people really care or understand about.

That was actually one of the reasons for me to be against it. It made you feel away from home. And who cares about being fucked once or twice on the holidays. It was a part of it. But especially economically it has a lot of advantages.
