the only problem is people trying to upgrade xp and 32>64, and if you upgrade you deserve problems,
granted, the installer and such have some shortcomings but when you install a new OS you should Always FORMAT and do a Fresh Install

I love windows 7, vista was annoying, and xp is getting outdated.
And all my music software runs fine in windows 7 (as long as you run it as administrator)

I have jus bought a new pc for Christmas, with Windows7.

I'm an ex XP user and I think that windows seven is very good, is very fast (I used Vista: it's more slow than a snail)... I don't have any kind of problem...It's very good!!! :)

I have a good friend getting into production.  He's doing great to start.  His main program was XP.  However, his laptop had an accident  :mouth:  and he bought a new one with Windows 7 installed.  I'm sure it's a great program to most.  However, from a producer stand point, he's unable to use some of the devices he previously used on XP.  It sounds interesting enough to explore.

tell him microsoft allows you to virtualize a fully functioning copy of windows xp inside windows 7, it eliminates all legacy support issues, its free from microsoft as a add-on download.

p.s - virtualization is amazing for servers
