Armin remixes The Killers


Over the past couple of years, Armin has kept his remix-work limited to only the best and original tracks around. After his surprising remix of Kerli’s ‘Walking on air’, he’s now been given the chance to remix a song by none less than American band The Killers! The highly anticipated new single of their ‘Day and Age’ album, ‘Human’, will be released in the beginning of November. Universal Music began their search for the best remixers for ‘Human’ and quickly found the perfect man for the job: Armin van Buuren. Armin has turned the track into a catchy, impressive remix, with his characteristic sound perfectly matching the typical Killers sound. The original version of the track is currently available on download portals, and Armin’s remix will be part of the single pack that’s released in the beginning of November, so keep an eye out on this one!

No, because I don't like the way Armin is going, both DJ and production. The remix sucks a fair bit, but to a much lesser extent than his Kerli remix. That was poor and about 5% of the potential Armin has @ making music.

I just took a listen to the Killers track on Youtube.  I liked it, but I saw what you were talking about.  It sounded like something you would play in a pop remixes/commercial club.

Is this Trance God starting to move toward house?

I wouldn't say House as such, just a generally more commercial sound, certainly with his remixes anyway. If you compare this and Face to Face/Imagine it's hard to see how they are the same producer.

I've said this on Armin forum, but anyway, I don't like this remix, I would rate a bit higher than the Kerli remix but only slighly I think its pretty weak it needs a lot of work and well finally THIS IS NOT ARMIN van BUUREN!!! imo this is somebody else who has changed his sound drastically for some weird reason.


I guess Armin is going turn out to be another Tiesto <_< (no offense to any Tiesto fans here) which kind of sad considering how much respect for the guy who made trance what it is today, I cannot believe he is taking this direction, it is almost like Un-Armin like imo this is how I see it.
