Armin Van Buuren is known for his radio show and DJ mixes known as A STATE OF TRANCE, but he is also known for another series as well:  UNIVERSAL RELIGION!

Recorded every year before a live audience at the famous Amnesia club in Ibiza, the electronic clubbing capital of the world, Universal Religion takes you on a tropical journey through the current trends in Baleric (sp?) and Uplifting Trance. 

Armin Van Buuren announced on Twitter that the 4th entry in this amazing series has been finished and mastered.  Expect to see it in stores soon!

I thought he only did three editions beginning in 2003, not every year? Last one was in 2007, and the one before that was in 2004.

Well, they've generally been good, but the song choices for 2007 were rather disappointing compared to Chapter One and Two of the series, even if still solid. Anyways, I'll keep my mouth shut until more details come forth.

The release date is September 28th.   I am not sure if that is the release date for Europe or everywhere.

A State Of Trance 2009 was released physically in Europe only as of now.  It is available everywhere digitally but it never saw the light of day physically in the States.....

Armani run prior to retail, is that true

Not sure.  But I think I may have found a reason why Armin's physical CDs haven't been appearing in North America as of late.

Rumor has it that Armin's label, Armada Music is working on plans to expand to the North American Market. 

Until recently, New York-based Ultra Records was responsible for licensing and marketing Armin's work (and many other Armada artists) throughout the North American continent. 

In order for Armada to have an affiliate in North America, they would have to terinate their deal with Ultra (which is probably why ASOT 2009 was not released physically in the States).

Basically if this happens, Armada will have a base in the US for its output.  Kinda like how Heineken makes beer in Holland but Heineken USA, an American counterpart, distributes it here.
