On Saturday, June 18 a musical beach marathon revolving around Intuition boss Menno de Jong will be held at the Zandparcours. This DJ/producer from the city of lights is infamous for his long distances and dynamic sprints in between.
At Club Fuel in Bloemendaal aan Zee he will take all of you along in a withering solo performance, viewing upon the horizon with your feet in the sand. A brilliant sundown with an euphorical ending. Marathon runner Menno de Jong will depart at 2PM and finish not until midnight.
Menno de Jong, a true cameleon as he is, has built and expanded his musical empire Intuition over the last decenium. It currently holds an event organisation, radio show, podcast and a record label. Intuition Events has hosted many of the busiest club parties such as Intuition Invites, Intuition Winter Festival and Intuition Summer Festival. These are all well-established events which have been widely praised over the past years.
Menno de Jong as a producer has established his carreer with tracks such as ‘Bambino', ‘Better World', ‘Nolthando', ‘Tundra', ‘Acapulco Heat', ‘Sjamaan',‘Guanxi', ‘Magma', ‘Solid State', and many more. The label department which he runs himself consists of the two divisions Intuition Recordings and Intuition Deep, two quality stamps for any fine melody. Thanks to productional effort by tens of artists, Intuition is known as one of the better Dutch trance labels.
The globally broadcasted Intuition Radio Show has become one of the main possibilities for Menno de Jong to share his music with the world, whereas the Podcast series were just the result of some early pioneer work. Outstanding notations in the DJ Mag Top 100 and Trance Addicts poll put this DJ/producer/label owner from Eindhoven in the spotlights. He has performed at numerous international and national events ever since.
After his first solo show at Westerunie in Amsterdam on November 8, 2008, a lot has changed in the musical life of Menno de Jong. He has recently been honoured with Armin van Buuren spinning his master piece ‘Turtle Paradise' in his radio show.
On June 18, Menno de Jong will perform a 10 hour summer set in a lovely beach setting. During Menno Solo in Bloemendaal aan Zee, timeless fragments from the Intuition decade will be played, but also will he share all of his current musical updates with his audience.
At Beachclub Fuel - the former BLM9 - Menno de Jong does a live performance featuring the British singer/songwriter Ellie Lawson. He will also introduce his new track ‘Place In The Sun'. The summer vibe expressed by the song's title perfectly corresponds with this unusual, non Dutch-like venue.
