Ofcourse the original of Silence isn't trance, Tiësto has made a trance track of it. He perfectionned it. Yes that Airscape Remix is good and made it more uplifting, but not better trance IMO. I'm getting more in trance with Tiësto's version than with Airscape's. It's simple, some songs don't need to be made uplifting to get better. When I listen to Airscape's version I just hear another good uplifting track, but not something special. When I hear Tiësto's Remix on the other hand, I get the goosebumps. And that has absolutely nothing to do with that it's coming from the hands of Tiësto It's just an amazing remix!

I do like all 3 remixes of Silence that were mentioned, and I do like Tiesto's remix!  

 However, if Tiesto would have played the Airscape Remix on the ISOS tour,  the crowd would have GONE NUTS and Went into a CRAZY FRENZY!    

The build-breakdown-anthem form of the AIRSCAPE Remix is insane, at 3:00 - 4:30 and then again at 6:15 - 7:30.   Nothing short of an "Out-a-body experiance"!

I feel like I'm rolling just listening to it.   lol

I just want to say that I totally agree with the part of your post that you deleted. I wish all those artists focused their creativity and production skills on making pure trance music instead of hybrid pop edm.

I felt this part needed its own post, so lets move on and discuss this

The mainstream'ization of trance hurts my soul
I embraced Trance because of what it was, not for what it is now
Vocals were added to EDM in order to spread it and allow mainstream fans to give it a chance
I don't need people listening to my music if they don't understand it

Trance is 2nd to only classical music in its depth and symphony, but it can also be very powerful and hard hitting, but there is always melody. The rest of EDM can not compare to the complexity that is melodic trance

Since no one remembers this, and people have come to like vocal trance, certain artists have made this their style and built a fanbase from it
There is nothing wrong with that, but its a bastard child and I would like nothing better than to kill it

These are my opinions, I know they are extreme, but that is how I feel
[I will also never try to influence someones opinion, just explain my point of view, and make them understand why I feel so strongly for or against certain aspects of trance]

Are you referring to the Airscape Remix?  How hard would it be to make your own dub version?

1. Silence (Airscape remix)
2  Silence (Tiesto Remix)
3 Silence
4 Innocente (Teisto Remix)  ft Leigh Nash

12. Innocente ft. Leigh Nash

15. Run for It  ft. Leigh Nash

I am not sure if this is just a current/recent list, or all time.  (OR maybe our recognition of the Airscape Remix increased it's sales)

Innocente ft. Leigh Nash is da bomb for sure.  She is one of my all time Fav Vocalists!!!    The Tiesto Remix is truly awesome but I like the original the most!!!








And Delerium's "After All"(Svenson And Gielen Remix) at #37, is another amazing track.

I read on Wikipedia that Silence has been produced in 1997, but that the official release was in 1999. The official release package back then was the Original Mix, The Airscape Remix and the Tiësto Remix. In the UK however, the version that was played the most on the radio was the Airscape Remix. What they play here on the radio (538) still about once a week, is the Original Mix.

Great movie also btw, 'Brokedown Palace', where Silence was used for.

Wow, I bet the fans back in 1999 that bought all 3 mixes, ..the Original, Tiesto's and Airscape Mix were BLOWN AWAY when they first listened to them. They probably just sat there listening, with their mouths open in SHOCK, as they Pee'd their pants in excitement!!!  lol
